The more self-sufficient we think we are, the more we fool ourselves. We are needy people. Perhaps that's why the extravagance of God sometimes feels unrealistic or out of our reach.
This week, we will review encounters people had with Jesus. Each story is part of our own story and will help us uncover needs we have not recognized or that we have tried to meet our own way.
It is time to take a lighter journey to the cross by leaving behind what we don't need and receiving from God what we do.

How will you prepare to encounter Jesus today?

Gracious God, burn away what doesn't belong in my heart to prepare me for a fresh encounter with you.
